Sam Rockwell Tries to Save the World in Bonkers New Trailer for GOOD LUCK, HAVE FUN, DON'T DIE
Briarcliff Entertainment has released the full trailer for Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die, and it looks like a wild, clever sci-fi ride. This is the kind of movie that feels tailor-made for genre fans who like their science fiction weird, funny, and a little unhinged.
This full trailer shows off just how strange and entertaining this story is shaping up to be. The story drops us into an iconic Los Angeles diner where an unassuming night takes a hard left turn.
A man claiming to be from an AI-ravaged future storms in and takes the patrons hostage, insisting he needs this very specific group of people to help save the world. The mission spans one night and six city blocks, all in a desperate attempt to stop a rogue artificial intelligence before it wipes everything out.
The movie leans into sharp commentary about technology, artificial intelligence, computers, and human stupidity, while still keeping things fun with some genuinely wacky and clever ideas.
Sam Rockwell leads the charge as the mysterious man from the future, and he looks like he’s having a blast. He’s joined by Michael Peña, Juno Temple, Haley Lu Richardson, Zazie Beetz, Asim Chandhry, and Tom Taylor.
The film is directed by Gore Verbinski, marking his first new movie since A Cure for Wellness back in 2016. Verbinski’s filmography includes everything The Ring to the original Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy and Rango, so his return to bonkers sci-fi territory is a big deal.
The screenplay comes from Matthew Robinson, whose past work includes Love and Monsters and Dora and the Lost City of Gold.
Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die already made a strong impression after premiering at Fantastic Fest and Beyond Fest in 2025, where it reportedly earned rave reactions. That early reception, combined with what the trailer delivers, makes this one feel like a legit sci-fi event rather than just another genre release.
Briarcliff Entertainment is set to release the film exclusively in theaters nationwide on February 13, 2026.
