Bill Murray Will Appear in The New GHOSTBUSTERS Film

After years of Bill Murray saying no to doing Ghostbusters 3, it looks like he's going to make an appearance in director Paul Feig's franchise reboot.

Photos of the actor were taken as the actor arrived Boston, Massachusetts to reportedly film a role in the movie. That's great and all, but we know he won't be reprising his role of Dr. Peter Venkman, so really, what's the point? Dan Aykroyd is also making a cameo appearance, but not as Ray Stanz. He's going to be a taxi driver, and if you want more details about that click here.

There's no word on what role Murray will have in the film, but even though I'm a big fan, his appearance isn't going to up my excitement for the movie. I'll wait until I see something awesome from it before I get excited. As of right now, I haven't seen anything that makes me want to see this movie.

The Ghostbusters reboot stars Kristen Wiig as Erin Gilbert, Kate McKinnon as Jillian Holtzmann, Melissa McCarthy as Abby Yates and Leslie Jones as Patty Tolan. The film will also co-star Andy Garcia as the Mayor of New York City, Michael K. Williams as a character named Hawkins, Matt Walsh as a character named Rourke, Chris Hemsworth as the Ghostbusters’ secretary, and Neil Casey as the film’s villain.

The movie is set to be released on July 15th, 2016.
