Billy Bob Thornton and Ariana Greenblatt Team Up for Emotional Drama SOMEDAYS
Billy Bob Thornton and Ariana Greenblatt are teaming up for a new dramatic feature titled Somedays, a project that already sounds like it’s aiming straight for the emotional gut.
The film is being written and directed by Brian Klugman, who continues to carve out a space for character-driven stories that lean heavily on performance and connection.
The story centers on a worn-down delivery driver who’s been given just months to live. During the course of his final stretch, he saves a sharp but deeply troubled teenage girl. What starts as a chance encounter turns into something far more meaningful, as the two form an unexpected bond that reshapes how they see the time they have left.
It’s a relationship that forces both of them to confront what it really means to be alive, even when everything feels like it’s slipping away.
For Thornton, the role arrives while he’s riding strong momentum on the small screen. He’s currently starring in Landman, which is now in its second season on Paramount+. The series has earned him Golden Globe and Critics Choice nominations.
Greenblatt continues to stack up an impressive and varied résumé. She was most recently seen in Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, and her past work includes Barbie, Ahsoka, and Avengers: Infinity War. Taking on a dramatic role opposite Thornton is a chance for her to really dig into something raw and personal.
With an intimate premise, a strong creative team, and two actors capable of delivering emotionally grounded performances, Somedays is could end up being one of those smaller films that sticks with you.
