Explosive Final Trailer for LANDMAN Season 2 Sees Billy Bob Thornton Return to the Oil Fields
Paramount+ has dropped the final trailer for Landman Season 2, and it’s looking like another gripping chapter in Taylor Sheridan’s Texas-sized oil saga. The hit series is set to return this November.
Shot entirely on location in Texas, Landman dives deep into the high-stakes, morally murky world of oil exploration and power. Billy Bob Thornton is back as Tommy Norris, the rugged oilman at the heart of the story, based on the Boomtown podcast from Christian Wallace.
As the trailer teases, “You think you understand how this business works, but you don't.” Season 2 picks up after the shocking events of last year’s cliffhanger, with Tommy under even more pressure both at home and at M-Tex Oil.
Cami is pushing him harder than ever, and the tension is boiling over. “Things are heating up in this season of Landman. Tommy faces new pressures at home and also at M-Tex Oil, where Cami pushes him to the brink. Don't be surprised if something – or someone – breaks.”
Alongside Thornton, the returning cast includes Demi Moore, Ali Larter, Jacob Lofland, Michelle Randolph, Paulina Chávez, Kayla Wallace, Mark Collie, and James Jordan.
Season 2 also introduces some major new faces, including Colm Feore, Andy Garcia, and the legendary Sam Elliott, which should crank the intensity up even further.
Created and written by Sheridan and Christian Wallace, the show continues Sheridan’s fascination with exploring the rough edges of American industries and the people who thrive, or break, within them.
Expect plenty of crime, corruption, and Texas grit when Landman Season 2 starts streaming on Paramount+ on November 16, 2025.
