BILLY THE KID Season 2 Trailer Promises War and Bloodshed
The series Billy The Kid continues with a second season and the first trailer has been released for the next chapter of the saga. The series is an epic romantic adventure inspired by the life of America’s most infamous outlaws. The first season of this series was great and I’ve been looking forward to watching the story continue.
The series follows Billy the Kid, also known as William H. Bonney, “from his humble Irish roots, to his early days as a cowboy and gunslinger in the American frontier, to his pivotal role in the Lincoln County War and beyond.
In Season 2, “Billy and his allies square off against his oldest friend Jesse Evans and the corrupt powers of the Santa Fe Ring. When shots are fired, the conflict erupts into the bloody Lincoln County War. Amidst the fighting, Billy will struggle to hang onto his soul—and to the love of his life.”
The series stars Tom Blyth (The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes) as “William H. Bonney” and Daniel Webber (Escape from Pretoria) as Jesse Evans, another famous outlaw and leader of the Seven Rivers Gang. When they meet, Jesse has already embraced a life of crime: robbing stores and cattle rustling. Billy is attracted to his wild and reckless character and becomes Billy’s doppelganger of sorts — his shadow self, forever inviting him over to the dark side of life.
The series was created, written, and executive produced by Michael Hirst, who was also behind the hit series Vikings. There’s a reason why this series is so good, and he returned to work on Season 2.
The series will be released on MGM+ on October 15th.
