BLEACH Producer Confirms a Sequel Would Feature the Soul Society Arc

We recently found out that Bleach producer Hiroyoshi Koi hopes they’ll be able to turn the live-action film into a trilogy. I immediately said that movie two would focus on the Soul Society arc since the first one will tell the Substitute Shinigami arc that leads directly into it. I was correct. Koi was recently asked about the possible sequel, and he said:

“I want to do the Soul Society arc. After all, if the first one succeeds, you can spend more money and time on the second to present a bigger sequel to the world. It would be a good thing for the franchise.”

I am concerned that the Soul Society arc has too much going on for one movie, but maybe I’m wrong. Many fans are excited about the film, especially with how optimistic Koi is being as he worked on the heralded live-action Rurouni Kenshin films from about 6 years ago. Do you think the Soul Society arc could fit into one movie?
