Bonkers Fun First Trailer For RICK AND MORTY: THE ANIME
Adult Swim has released the first trailer for its upcoming series Rick and Morty: The Anime, and yeah… it goes full anime in every aspect you can imagine! This looks like it’s going to be a completely bonkers series that is going to be a ton of fun to watch!
The trailer comes with a message from director Takashi Sano (Rick and Morty vs. Genocider, Summer Meets God (Rick Meets Evil), who says:
“As the director, I would like to assure you that I’m also a huge fan of the original Rick and Morty. I believe there are many Rick and Morty fans all over the world, and I’m truly honored to be chosen out of all of them to create a new Rick and Morty story. But with that honor comes a lot of pressure, because the original is just so well made.”
He went on to say:
“What I’ve tried to accomplish with these 10 episodes is to take all my favorite parts of watching Rick and Morty, compress the down to extract their essence, and then add a unique Japanese twist. I’d like you to enjoy Rick and Morty’s adventures as they are wisked through time and space, tangled up in all sorts of chaos.”
The first-look animation is set to the show’s opening song, “Love Is Entropy,” performed by 0C from Code of Zero and Cameron Earnshaw, music and lyrics by Otonez.
