Brad Pitt Returns in New Trailer for David Fincher’s THE FURTHER MIS-ADVENTURES OF CLIFF BOOTH
Hollywood is full of dirty secrets, and Brad Pitt is back to clean up the mess in a new trailer for The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth. Netflix and IMAX have released fresh footage and a new poster for director David Fincher’s upcoming crime film, which brings Pitt’s fan-favorite stuntman back for another round of trouble in Los Angeles.
The film picks up in 1977, eight years after the events of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, when Cliff Booth had his memorable run-in with the Manson family. Times have changed, and Cliff has found himself a new gig as a Hollywood studio fixer, taking care of the kind of problems nobody wants the public to know about.
Murder, blackmail, theft, and extortion are all part of the job now. Cliff might not be the stuntman Hollywood once needed, but his particular talents for handling dangerous situations still come in handy, especially when the usual rules don't apply.
What makes this sequel so interesting is the creative team. Quentin Tarantino wrote the screenplay, but Fincher is directing this time around. That's a pretty awesome combination, especially with Fincher's work on films like Se7en, Fight Club, Zodiac, Gone Girl, and The Killer.
Tarantino introduced Cliff as a laid-back stuntman who could handle himself in just about any fight. Now Fincher gets to explore what happens when that same guy starts making a living cleaning up Hollywood's messes. It's a great premise for a crime thriller, and seeing these two filmmakers put their talents into the same project is reason enough to be excited.
Joining Pitt are Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Carla Gugino, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Peter Weller, Corey Fogelmanis, JB Tadena, and Karren Karagulian.
The first full trailer arrived a few months ago, and this latest promo gives fans another look at the trouble Cliff is getting into. Netflix has also taken an interesting approach to the release, giving the movie an exclusive IMAX theatrical run before bringing it to streaming.
The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth opens in IMAX theaters worldwide on November 25, 2026, before arriving on Netflix on December 23, 2026. Tickets are already on sale, and you can find participating theaters through the intl.cliffboothfilm.com
I loved Pitt's performance as Cliff Booth in the original movie, and putting him in a late-'70s Hollywood crime story directed by Fincher sounds like a damn good time. I'm especially curious to see how Fincher handles Tarantino's character and dialogue.
Check out the new trailer and poster, and let us know what you think.
