Director Lee Cronin (The Hole In The Ground) and producer Sam Raimi are in the process of developing the next Evil Dead film, which is titled Evil Dead Now. Nothing has really been revealed in regards to the story, we just know that it will center on a new hero.

Producer Bruce Campbell is now teasing that Evil Dead Rise will be set in a city, and judging by his word, it’s going to be epic chaos. During a recent screening of the original movie, Campbell said:

I’m excited to find out what exactly this next Evil Dead movie is going to be! When talking about the future of the franchise and the Evil Dead films that are coming, Campbell said:

“From this point forward, they kind of have to stand on their own. Which is fine. And liberating. You could have different heroes, different heroines in this case. This one’s gonna be a little more dynamic. We jut want to keep the series current. And the mantra, really, is that our heroes and heroines are just regular people. That’s what we’re going to continue.”

Campbell also previously confirmed that there are multiple Evil Dead films in the works, so it’ll be cool to see what all of these stories will be.
