Brutal, Action-Packed New Trailer for JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 4 - "Freedom Is a Fight"
Lionsgate has released a badass new trailer for John Wick: Chapter 4, and it’s filled with action-packed new footage of Keanu Reeves brutally kicking ass and killing anyone who attempts to take him out. Good grief… the action sequences in this movie are going to be off the charts, and this is just a little taste of what this next chapter in the John Wick franchise is going to deliver!
When previously talking about the movie, Reeves said, "John Wick 4 is the hardest movie I've ever made. In terms of action, it's the hardest film I've ever made. But that's what makes it good." He went on to explain that "There's a lot of people that are coming after [Wick], and there [are] a lot of different kinds of scenes that are fun for the action."
One of those scenes that he teased was "a fight scene in traffic,” and we get to see what he’s talking about in this trailer! He also explained: "The table is this world above the world; and the people, the assassins, under the table are as boundless as the grains of sand on the beach. So there [are] a lot of people coming after John Wick. But really, for the John Wick film[s], it's really just the invention of the scene, right? How can you do these scenes?"
The movie is going to have most action of any of the films in the franchise, and Reeves said: "John Wick: Chapter 4 is our opus. Oh my god, it’s crazy, man! It’s banana cakes!"
John Wick: Chapter 4 is being helmed by Chad Stahelski, and the cast also includes Donnie Freakin’ Yen, Hiroyuki Sanada, Rina Sawayama, Shamier Anderson, Lance Reddick, Clancy Brown, Ian McShane, and Bill Skarsgard as the sinister main villain.
The movie is currently scheduled to open in theaters on May 27th, 2023.
