Bryce Dallas Howard Will Voice Yaddle in Dave Filoni's STAR WARS: TALES OF THE JEDI Series
Bryce Dallas Howard has announced that she will be providing the voice of Yaddle in Dave Filloni’s upcoming animated anthology series, Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi.
Yaddle is a female of whatever species Yoda is. She was introduced in the Star Wars prequel trilogy, but she did not have any dialogue. That’s going to change with Tales of the Jedi, we’ll soon learn a lot more about this character.
Howard made the announcement on Twitter, saying:
Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi is a six-episode anthology series that features stories of other Jedi characters from the Star Wars universe. The stories in the series involve Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker, Mace Windu, Qui-Gon Jinn, and his master Count Dooku. Three episodes of the series will include Ahsoka and the other three will involve Count Dooku.
The shorts feature “parables built around Jedi from the prequel era. Journey into the lives of two distinctly different Jedi—Ahsoka Tano and Count Dooku—each will be put to the test as they make choices that will define their destinies.”
When previously talking about the show, Filoni said: "I thought of this adventure for Ahsoka for a long time, and it's interesting to see how it's evolved. Years ago, I never would have imagined that it was sprung from a branch of a tree that had anything to do with a guy [like] Din Djarin, or a child that looks like Yoda. It's a great lesson for me on how, when you have other creatives like Jon Favreau, they can help lend such dimension and depth to what you're doing."
Liam Neeson is reprising his role as Qui-Gon Jinn in the anthology series and Neeson’s son will be voicing the younger version of the character.
All episodes will premiere on Wednesday, October 26th. Here’s the previous trailer that was released.
