Capcom's Live-Action MEGA MAN Film Lands The Directors of PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 4

Capcom and 20th Century Fox are moving forward with their live-action feature film adaptation of the classic video game character Mega Man. It’s been announced that the film will be written and directed by Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman. These filmmakers previously worked on the original Catfish documentary, a couple of the Paranormal Activity movies, and Nerve.

The directors were originally connected to the project last year, but now it’s been made official. The press release added:

Based on the influential and globally beloved Mega Man franchise, Capcom aims to appeal to a diverse audience, including not only game players but action movie fans as well, with an adaptation that maintains the world of the Mega Man games, while incorporating the grand production and entertainment value that Hollywood movies are known for.

There aren’t any details on the story that the film will tell, but they have plenty of options to choose from. Mega Man is such a great character, though, and as a fan I’m looking forward to seeing what comes of this movie. I just hope it has a decent story and is ridiculously action-packed!
