CAPTAIN AMERICA: BRAVE NEW WORLD Director Julius Onah Was Not Removed From the Film
Captain America: Brave New World seems to have gone through a rough road. While the trailers for the film make it look like a decent Marvel movie, it seems like there are still some issues that are being dealt with.
There have been reports that the film went way over budget, there are reports of disappointing early test screenings, and the movie has gone through extensive reshoots with more happening right now.
Well, it was recently reported that director Julius Onah wasn’t involved with the project anymore, with World of Reel reporting:
“He’s in over his head. Onah will keep his directing credit on Brave New World, and he’s being a good sport about it, but he’s certainly not calling the shots on the movie."
That rumored was then quickly debunked by CBM, who said: “A source familiar with the project has confirmed that Julius Onah is still on board as director of Captain America: Brave New World.”
In the film, “After meeting with newly elected U.S. President Thaddeus Ross, played by Harrison Ford in his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut, Sam finds himself in the middle of an international incident.
“He must discover the reason behind a nefarious global plot before the true mastermind has the entire world seeing red.”
Captain America: Brave New World also stars Harrison Ford, Danny Ramirez, Shira Haas, Xosha Roquemore, Carl Lumbly, with Giancarlo Esposito, Liv Tyler, and Tim Blake Nelson.
Captain America: Brave New World opens in U.S. theaters on February 14, 2025.
