CAPTAIN AMERICA: BRAVE NEW WORLD Will Reportedly Feature a Cameo From a Fan Favorite Character
A new rumor has surfaced regarding Marvel’s Captain America: Brave New World and a fan-favorite character that could pop up in the film.
This could be considered a spoiler, but it makes so much sense that this character would show up. Regardless, you clicked through, so you’re open to a possible spoiler.
According to scooper MTTSH, Brave New World will feature a cameo from Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, aka the Winter Soldier.
With Bucky's strong connection to Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie), this wouldn't really be a big surprise.
The two characters formed a tight bond during the events of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and while Bucky’s arc takes him down a very path the Thunderbolts team, it makes sense that he'd drop in to visit his friend during the events of Brave New World.
Details on Bucky's role are vague, but it won’t really be anything bigger than just a cameo.
In the film, “After meeting with newly elected U.S. President Thaddeus Ross, played by Harrison Ford in his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut, Sam finds himself in the middle of an international incident.
“He must discover the reason behind a nefarious global plot before the true mastermind has the entire world seeing red.”
When previously talking about the film, Kevin Feige said he’s looking to capture the same magic that they delivered in Captain America: The Winter Solider by leaning into the whole political thriller aspect of the story.
Captain America: Brave New World stars Anthony Mackie, Danny Ramirez, Shira Haas, Xosha Roquemore, Carl Lumbly, with Giancarlo Esposito, Liv Tyler, and Tim Blake Nelson.
The film is directed by Julius Onah and produced by Kevin Feige and Nate Moore.
Captain America: Brave New World opens in U.S. theaters on February 14, 2025.
