CAPTAIN MARVEL Has Finished Shooting and Brie Larson Shares a Photo Marking The Occasion
Captain Marvel has completed principal photography and the film's star Brie Larson has shared a photo on Twitter to mark the occasion. Over the past few months, we've seen some photos from the set featuring Larson in costume as Captain Marvel and a young Nick Fury, but there's still a lot that we don't know about the film.
The story follows Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes when Earth is caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races. Set in the 1990s, 'Captain Marvel' is an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
This is the next film that Marvel will release and not long after that, Avengers 4 will hit theaters. I'm pretty excited about Captain Marvel and it's going to be so cool to see this character, who is said to be the most powerful character in the MCU, make her big screen debut!
The movie will also feature the return of Lee Pace and Djimon Hounsou as the Kree villain Ronan the Accuser and his henchman Korath the Pursuer from Guardians of the Galaxy. The movie also stars Clark Gregg, Ben Mendelsohn, Jude Law, Gemma Chan and Lashana Lynch. Other new cast members include Algenis Perez Soto (Sugar), Rune Temte (Eddie the Eagle), and McKenna Grace (I, Tonya).
Captain Marvel is being directed by the writing/directing team of Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, whose credits include Mississippi Grind and Half Nelson.
Captain Marvel is set to be released on March 8th, 2019.
