Carrie Fisher Will Finally Get Her Star on the Walk of Fame and the Ceremony Will Take Place May the 4th

Carrie Fisher is finally going to be getting her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and the ceremony will be done on May 4th, aka Star Wars Day. The announcement was made on the official Hollywood Walk of Fame website, and there’s no doubt that Star Wars fans will be thrilled!

Ana Martinez, Producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, shared in a statement:

"Fans will be over the moon to know that their favorite movie princess, Carrie Fisher will be honored with her star on the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame! Carrie will join her 'Star Wars' co-stars and fellow Walk of Famers Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford on this historic sidewalk. I am happy to add, that her star is just a few feet away from the star of Mark Hamill and across the street from the star of her legendary mother Debbie Reynolds!"

I’m not sure why she never got one while she was still alive, but I guess it’s better late than never. Carrie Fisher passed away in 2016 after she suffered a massive heart attack. Her legacy lives on and fans continue to celebrate her amazing legacy.
