Cast of READY OR NOT 2: HERE I COME Tease The “Insane” Sequel in Behind-the-Scenes Featurette

Searchlight Pictures has released a new behind-the-scenes featurette for Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, offering fans a glimpse at fresh footage while the cast and filmmakers talk about the chaotic bloody ride that the film delivers.

If you haven’t seen the movie yet, you should check it out because it’s a ton of fun!

The follow-up to the cult-favorite horror thriller picks up almost immediately after Grace barely survived the nightmare unleashed by the Le Domas family. Escaping that deadly game was only the beginning. Now she’s pulled into something much larger, far more dangerous, and much more chaotic than the twisted hide-and-seek that started it all.

Grace finds herself tangled in a brutal power struggle involving multiple rival families battling for control of a mysterious council that secretly rules the world. Whoever claims the High Seat of this council holds ultimate power, and several ruthless families are hunting Grace to take it for themselves.

Samara Weaving returns as Grace, once again bringing the frantic energy, sharp wit, and barely-contained rage that made the original film such a blast. This time, she isn’t fighting alone. Kathryn Newton joins the story as Grace’s estranged sister Faith, throwing a complicated family dynamic into the middle of the blood-soaked chaos.

Moments after surviving the Le Domas family’s deadly ritual, Grace realizes she’s advanced to the next stage of the nightmare. Now she must keep herself and her sister alive while four rival families close in, each hoping to claim the throne of the powerful council.

The cast surrounding Weaving and Newton is packed with genre favorites, including Sarah Michelle Gellar, Shawn Hatosy, Néstor Carbonell, David Cronenberg, Elijah Wood, Kevin Durand, Olivia Cheng, Varun Saranga, and Daniel Beirne.

The film reunites Grace with the creative team that launched the franchise. Directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, known collectively as Radio Silence, return to helm the sequel. The screenplay once again comes from Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy, the writers behind the original film.

The featurette highlight how the sequel expands on the scope in a big way. The violence nastier, the action sequences are larger in scale, and the sibling dynamic between Grace and Faith adds a new layer of tension to the story.

What started as a deadly family game has evolved into something closer to an all-out war between rival psychopaths, with Grace caught in the middle and fighting like hell to survive.
