Charlize Theron's Furiosa Gets Her Own MAD MAX: FURY ROAD Featurette
Early word was that Mad Max: Fury Road would be the first in a new series of Mad Max movies, and the second film would be called Mad Max: Furiosa and presumably spend more time on Charlize Theron's badass character. The two movies were originally set to film back-to-back, but that didn't happen and Theron has made a few comments that indicate that she may not be interested in returning to play the character again (behind-the-scenes drama on set indicated that she and co-star Tom Hardy didn't really get along very well, a claim Hardy has denied). At least we know Hardy will probably return for more, since he's signed on for three more sequels.
But even if there was some drama during filming, it doesn't look like it had a negative impact on the movie. Fury Road looks incredible (even moreso after seeing Miller direct some of those crazy stunt sequences), and following this morning's featurette about the character of Max, Theron's Furiosa got her own over at EW.
