Check Out The First Photo From Ridley Scott's ALIEN: COVENANT
As I'm sure you know, yesterday was Alien Day (4/26, like planet LV-426), and last night, 20th Century Fox released the first image from Ridley Scott's Prometheus sequel/Alien prequel Alien: Covenant. The movie reportedly takes place ten years after the events of Prometheus, and you can read the official synopsis below:
Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world -- whose sole inhabitant is the "synthetic" David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.
The patch obviously belongs to one of the Covenant's crew members, and you can see that the infamous Weyland-Yutani Corporation continues to be involved in the mythology of this universe. Scott has teased some pretty big things for this movie, including that it will include every version of xenomorph and that it will have a pretty hard R rating. Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Demian Bichir, Jussie Smollett, and Danny McBride star, and Alien: Covenant is slated to hit theaters on August 4, 2017.
