Chiwetel Ejiofor Joins Tom Hardy in VENOM 3
Chiwetel Ejiofor (Doctor Strange) has jumped on board a new Marvel film franchise. The actor is set to star alongside Tom Hardy in Sony Picture’s upcoming Marvel movie Venom 3.
Hardy will be back in the role of Eddie Brock and Juno Temple is also set to star in the film. We have no idea what characters Temple or Ejiofor are playing in the movie.
There are still no details to share on the story, which was developed by Hardy and writer and director Kelly Marcel, or who from the previous film will be joining the sequel.
I’m not the biggest fan of the first two movies as the stories have been pretty mediocre. But hey, the first two films grossed a combined $1.36 billion worldwide! So, audiences seem to enjoy them. I guess audiences are just getting used to mediocre filmmaking.
One thing is for sure, Ejiofor is a great actor and I hope they actually utilize his talents. The first couple of films seemed to waste the talent they brought into the franchise though, so we’ll see. Ejiofor will next appear in Rob Peace, which he also directed. He also will return for Netflix’s The Old Guard 2.
Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal and Hutch Parker are producing Venom 3.
