Chiwetel Ejiofor’s VENOM 3 Villain Role Reportedly Revealed
A new report has surfaced regarding Venom 3 and the villainous character that Chiwetel Ejiofor plays in the Marvel movie. There’s not much known about this movie, but Marvel scooper Daniel Richtman is saying that the actor will be taking on the role of Orwell Taylor.
Orwell Taylor is a relatively obscure character from the Marvel Universe. He was first introduced in Venom: The Mace #1 in 1994. He’s a former U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel with a vendetta against superhuman vigilantes who he holds responsible for the death of his son.
After his son was killed by Venom, Taylor assembled The Jury, an armored vigilante group designed to judge and execute vigilantes, especially Venom, who Taylor held personally accountable for his son's death. Despite his adversarial stance against some of Marvel's heroes, Taylor believes himself to be a force for justice, attempting to hold superpowered individuals accountable for the collateral damage they cause.
Tom Hardy is set to reprise his role in the film as Eddie Brock, aka Venom, and he will be joined by Juno Temple in an undisclosed role.
The third film was developed by Hardy and writer and director Kelly Marcel. Venom 3 is scheduled to open in theaters on July 12, 2024.
