Chris McKay Thinks Nightwing Should Have White Eyes in NIGHTWING

In animated movies, TV shows, and comics, it is common for members of the Bat-family to have some kind of white lens over their eyes when in costume. In the live-action movies, however, there has only been a lens of some kind in two instances and only for special suits. The first was in The Dark Knight when he was using the sonar-like technology to fight the Joker. The second was in Ben Affleck’s suit for fighting Superman in Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice. This has been a point of contention for some fans. I personally always just thought it was something done to make the animation process easier and that’s why it never translated over. I’m not opposed to them trying it though. A fan reached out to Chris McKay who is directing the upcoming Nightwing film, asking him to give the character the white lenses. McKay provided a one-word response: “Agreed”.

Nightwing has not released any information though regarding casting or release dates. We know that a script is near completion (if it hasn’t finished yet) and McKay has been wanting fans to vote on Twitter to aid in the casting quest. Do you think Nightwing should have white lenses, or should he just go the route of previous members of the Bat-family?
