Chris Pratt and Charlie Day Would Love a Sequel to THE SUPER MARIO BROS. MOVIE

The Super Mario Bros. Movie was actually a lot of fun, and I’m curious to see how it performs at the box office. I have a feeling that it’s going to be a big hit, and if it is, you can bet that Universal Pictures is going to want to make a sequel.

The film’s voice stars Chris Pratt and Charlie Day, who play Mario and Luigi, are super hyped for the franchise, and they would love for a sequel to happen. During a recent interview with GamesRadar, they were asked if they’d like to come back for more, and Pratt responded, "Yes, I'd love that," and Day was equally as enthusiastic saying, "Yeah, I'd love to see that." He added:

"It’s so fun to be part of this world and just people love these characters so much. I mean, I would love to keep doing it and Luigi has got a whole mansion he can wander around and be scared in. But I don’t know, I think I’d do as many as they wanted me to do."

As for Pratt, he’s been involved with a few big film franchises in his career with Jurassic World and Guardians of the Galaxy, but he’s up for another one with Super Mario Bros! He said:

"I wouldn’t call it trepidation, I think just a level of excitement. Especially knowing how broad the fanbase is for the Super Mario Bros. and Mario World, you just know the potential there. The only fear you might have is that you just don't want to be responsible for screwing any of this stuff up. You know how passionate fans are, I know how passionate I am about this universe having played so many of these games growing up."

As you know, Pratt got a lot of crap from fans about his Mario voice in the film, but after having seen the movie, what he does works for the movie. I actually wouldn’t mind seeing a sequel I liked the first movie and the kids are going to love it!
