Christian Bale Is Reportedly Playing an Intergalactic Villain in THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER
When we first learned that Christian Bale was in talks to join Marvel’s Thor: Love and Thunder, the fans went wild speculating that he could be playing Beta Ray Bill. While I would love to see Bale bring this character to life, a new report from The Illuminerdi is saying that Bale will instead be playing an intergalactic villain in the story.
The report says that the only descriptors on the casting breakdown their sources came across explain Bale's character as "otherworldly.” There are no other details on who his character could be ,so this being the Marvel universe, there are a ton of possibilities.
Bale still isn’t officially locked into the role, but this will be the main villain of the story. That would rule out Beta Rey Bill. Unless the character starts out as a villain, which is unlikely.
Marvel has been able to lure lots of legendary top-tier talent into their films, so it will be interesting to see if they can actually land Bale. I hope they do, I think he’d make a great Marvel villain!
