COBRA KAI Co-Creator Shares the Original "Mock Trailer" That Helped Sell the Series
The Karate Kid franchise was revived in a huge way with the Cobra Kai series, which has a great six season run. I really enjoyed that ride, and it’s awesome that the creators of the series got to tell the entire story they set out to tell.
Co-creator of Cobra Kai, Jon Hurwitz, recently shared the mock trailer that they had cut together to help sell the series and land a production deal.
Hurwitz posted the trailer on X, which was used by himself, Hayden Schlossberg, and Josh Heald to help shop Cobra Kai around Hollywood.
The video edit uses clips from Karate Kid as well as various other movies that Ralph Macchio and William Zabka were involved with, and couple of songs to tease the tone they had in mind for the revival.
