COBRA KAI Season 2 Video Takes You Behind The Scenes of Mr. Miyagi’s House

The first Season of Cobra Kai is one of my favorite shows of the year. It was surprising great and everyone I know that has seen it has loved it.

Season 2 is now in production and with the way that Season 1 ended with Martin Kove coming back as John Kreese and Daniel Larusso (Ralph Macchio) starting up a Karate dojo at Mr. Miyagi’s house, I couldn’t be more excited to see where the story leads. Especially with Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) building back up the Cobra Kai dojo and finally finding success in his life while trying to help out kids in the process.

Today we have a video to share with you that was recently shared at NYCC and it features Tanner Buchanan (Johnny’s son Robby) and Mary Mouser (Daniel’s daughter Samantha) giving us a tour of the set of Mr. Miyagi’s house. Xolo Maridueña (Johnny’s student Miguel) and Jacob Bertrand (Miguel’s friend Eli “Hawk” Moskowitz) also show up.

It’s explained in the video that the original house that was used for The Karate Kid was sold and eventually torn down. The house was rebuilt for The Karate Kid Part II on the Sony Pictures backlot, that was scrapped after production was completed on The Karate Kid Part III. So, the set we see here is yet another rebuild of the house and while it uses elements from the previous iterations of the sets, it also adds some new things here and there, like the addition of a pond in the backyard.

I can’t wait to see what creators Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg, and Josh Heald have in store for Season 2! There’s no release date for Cobra Kai season 2 yet, but it will probably arrive sometime in 2019.
