Comedy Legend Dick Van Dyke Stars in Charming Coldplay Music Video For "All My Love"
Coldplay has released a charming new music video for the band’s song “All My Love,” and it stars comedy legend Dick Van Dyke. The music video was directed by Spike Jonze and Mary Wigmore.
While on his Malibu patio, the actor shares his thoughts on his long life and mortality. Dick Van Dyke turns 99 on December 13th.
Van Dyke says: “I’m acutely aware that I, you know, could go any day now, but I don’t know why it doesn’t concern me. I’m not afraid of it. I have that feeling, totally against anything intellectual that I’m gonna be alright.”
In addition to footage of Van Dyke talking with Coldplay singer Chris Martin the video also includes brief clips from throughout the comic’s career, with quick glimpses of his classic ’60s sitcom The Dick Van Dyke Show, his movies Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Mary Poppins, and an appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show.
Van Dyke says: “I think I’m one of those lucky people who got to do for a living what I would have done anyway. When you think how lucky I am, I got to do what I do — play and act silly.”
