Cool Character Concept Art From Director Joseph Khan's JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK Pitch

A few years ago, director Joseph Khan pitched a Justice League Dark film to Warner Bros. that they ultimately ended up passing on. Last year he shared an eight-second animation screen test showing off his design for Swamp Thing. He has now released several pieces of concept art that reveal some of his character designs and the actors he wanted in the roles!

We have a better look at Swamp Thing, and a first look at Floronic Man, Dan Stevens as John Constantine, Natalie Dormer as Zatanna Zatara, Deadman, and Chiwetel Ejiofor as Jason Blood/Etrigan the Demon. That's quite an impressive wish-list of actors he had.

Khan was trying to jump in on the film project after Guillermo del Toro jumped ship. The studio opted not to work with him and they ended up developing an animated film. Now they are back on trying to make a live-action film.

Khan is a great music video director, but after he directed that awful motorcycle action film Torque, I never wanted to see another movie from him again. So I'm actually ok with the fact that Warner Bros. never moved forward with him on the project.

The most recent draft of the script is being written by Gerard Johnstone (Housebound). The studio has yet to hire a director, but Johnstone could end up directing as he was one of the directors that the studio was looking at hiring at one point.

Anyway, check out the concept art below and tell us what you think!
