Cool Trailer and Poster for Netflix's DEVIL MAY CRY Anime Series
Netflix has released a trailer and poster for its upcoming anime series adaptation of the hit video game Devil May Cry. This looks like a fun series!
In this animated adaptation, “Sinister forces are at play to open the portal between the human and demon realms. In the middle of it all is Dante (Johnny Yong Bosch), an orphaned demon-hunter-for-hire, unaware that the fate of both worlds hangs around his neck.”
The project is being developed by Capcom and producer Adi Shankar (Castlevania), who also serves as showrunner, and produced by South Korean animation studio Studio Mir (The Legend of Korra, X-Men ’97).
It was previously revealed the the first season would consist of eight episodes. Devil May Cry is set to span multiple seasons with its stories and will feature several fan-favorites, including Lady and Vergil.
Hiroyuki Kobayashi, a producer on the original video game is also a part of the development team on the series.
The anime series streams on April 3.
