Crazy and Violent Red-Band Teaser Trailer For THE BOYS Season 3
Amazon Prime Video has released a new red-band teaser trailer for The Boys Season 3, and as you might expect, it shows off a lot of bloody, violent, and vulgar footage! Oh yeah, there’s also a surprising amount of dancing.
The trailer features Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) who is struggling with some glowing eyes that shoot light beams out of them! Then you’ve got Homelander (Antony Starr) trying to manage his rage, but he’s not doing a very good job at it. This guy’s going to have a major mental breakdown, which is also what Hughie (Jack Quaid) seems to be going through in his new supe-regulation government job.
We also get a look at Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy, Erin Moriarty as Annie a.k.a. Starlight in a super sad situation, and more! Including, Frenchie (Tomer Capone) and Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) breaking out into some kind of musical number. Then there’s Laurie Holden as Crimson Countess making people explode!
I don’t know, most of the characters look incredibly stressed out in the situations they’ve found themselves in! Good times are ahead!
The Boys is “a fun and irreverent take on what happens when superheroes — who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians, and as revered as gods — abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. Intent on stopping the corrupt superheroes, The Boys, a group of vigilantes, continue their heroic quest to expose the truth about The Seven and Vought — the multibillion-dollar conglomerate that manages the superheroes and covers up their dirty secrets. It’s the seemingly powerless against the super powerful.”
When previously talking about the series, showrunner Eric Kripke said that this season is going to be filled “with a lot of madness.” You get a little take of that in this new trailer.
The series stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capon, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit and series newcomers Jensen Ackles, Nick Wechsler, and Laurie Holden.
Based on the best-selling comic by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, the raunchy superhero drama is executive produced by Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Phil Sgriccia, Craig Rosenberg, Ken F. Levin, Jason Netter, Paul Grellong, David Reed, Meredith Glynn and Michaela Starr.
The Boys Season 3 is set to be released on Amazon on June 3rd. . After that, the remaining five episodes will roll out weekly every Friday.
