Creepy New Trailer for John Lithgow and Geoffrey Rush's Horror Thriller THE RULE OF JENNY PEN

A new teaser trailer has been released for the twisted new horror thriller The Rule of Jenny Pen, which tells an unsettling story led by Geoffrey Rush and John Lithgow. The movie looks so good and so creepy and I’m ready for the demented journey that it’s going to take me on.

In the story, “a judge is hospitalized in an asylum after suffering a stroke. There, he falls into the clutches of a twisted patient, who uses his doll, Jenny Pen, as an instrument to impose his will on the poor inmates. The clash between them will cause a wave of violence and terror to totally shake up the place.”

Another description reads: “Confined to a secluded rest home and trapped within his stroke-ridden body, a former Judge must stop an elderly psychopath who employs a child's puppet to abuse the home's residents with deadly consequences.”

Stephen King previously praised the film saying: "I watched one of the best movies I've seen this year. It's called THE RULE OF JENNY PEN, and I urge you to watch it when it appears on Shudder. Geoffrey Rush stars, with John Lithgow as a geriatric psychopath with an evil hand puppet."

The Rule of Jenny Pen is an adaptation of an Owen Marshall short story, and it was directed by James Ashcroft from a script he wrote with Eli Kent.

The film opens first in New Zealand starting March 20th, 2025.
