Dakota Johnson in Talks to Join DON'T WORRY DARLING Directed by Olivia Wilde
Almost a month ago we learned that Shia LaBeouf, Chris Pine, and Florence Pugh were set to star in Don’t Worry Darling, an upcoming psychological thriller directed by Olivia Wilde. Well, according to THR, Dakota Johnson is now in negotiations to join the cast.
Sadly, that’s where the details end as it appears a lot of the project is being kept under wraps. We do know that the film is set in “an isolated, utopian community in the 1950s California desert and centers on a housewife (Pugh) who uncovers a disturbing truth about her seemingly perfect life.” This is a film that really interests me right now, so I hope it turns out well.
I will admit that I haven’t seen a lot of Johnson’s work, so I don’t really have opinions of her being added, but I think this cast is going to have a lot of potential as a whole. Also, Wilde won many audience members over as a director with Booksmart and she’s teamed up with Booksmart co-writer Katie Silberman for this project, so that’s got to be a win, right?
