Dan Stevens, Kathryn Newton, and Kevin Durand Join Radio Silence's Universal Monster Movie Project

Dan Stevens (The Guest, Legion, Downton Abbey) and Kevin Durand (The Strain) will star alongside Melissa Barrera in Radio Silence’s Untitled Monster thriller, which is set up at Universal Pictures. Stevens just finished work on Godzilla vs. Kong: The New Empire, and I guess he’s ready for some more monster movie madness! Alisha Weir has also joined the cast along with Kathryn Newton, Angus Cloud, and Will Catlett.

Radio Silence’s Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett will direct the movie, with Scream producer Chad Villella serving as producer alongside William Sherak, Paul Neinstein and James Vanderbilt.

The untitled movie is “in the vein of the Studio’s recent hits like The Invisible Man and Renfield.” It’s explained that it will offer “a unique take on legendary monster lore and will represent a fresh, new direction for how to celebrate these classic characters.”

Actual plot details for the movie are being kept under wraps, and we have no idea who any of the actors will be playing in the movie. I’m kinda hoping this will be a Bride of Frankenstein movie, but there are so many other different things it could be.

The script for the movie was written by Stephen Shields, with revisions by Guy Busick, and we’re just going to have to wait and see what story this movie will tell.
