Daniel Radcliffe Says He Doesn't See Himself as Wolverine, But Tells Marvel to Prove Him Wrong

There have been rumors going around the internet for months regarding Daniel Radcliffe taking on the role of Wolverine. Apparently, a lot of people come up to him to congratulate him on getting the role, but he knows nothing about it. Regardless, he appreciates that fans are open to seeing a “short guy” play Wolverine.

He also doesn’t think that Marvel would choose someone like him after Hugh Jackman, but he does invite Marvel to prove him wrong! This is what he said in a recent interview with ComicBook:

"So many times, people come to me like, 'hey man, heard the Wolverine news, that's pretty cool.' No, I don't know anything about it. Like, I appreciate that somebody is clearly going like 'Wolverine's actually short in the comic books, you should get like a short guy to do it!' But I don't see myself, I don't see them going from Hugh Jackman to me. But who knows? Prove me wrong, Marvel."

Wolverine would be an interesting and very different role for Radcliffe, and he would certainly have to bulk up for the role if anything ever did happen with Marvel casting Radcliffe. But, I’m not sure if that is the direction that Marvel would go with the character if they recast him. But hey… prove me wrong, Marvel.

I would actually love to see a more comic-accurate version of Wolverine introduced in the MCU, but we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.

Honestly, I think there’s more of a chance of seeing Hugh Jackman reprise the role in director Shawn Levy’s and Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool 3 than seeing Radcliffe cast as the character.
