Daniel Radcliffe Says He's Excited for the HARRY POTTER Series and He Hopes It Is a More Thorough Adaptation
A few months ago, it was announced that Max is moving forward with a Harry Potter series, with author J.K. Rowling executive producing. The series will be casting young actors in the roles of the main characters, and the series will be released over the course of the next ten years. This will give the streamer the chance to tell fans the whole story from the books in the longer format, not skipping over story details that may have been lost in the films.
While talking to Variety about his Emmy nomination for playing Weird Al Yankovic in Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, Daniel Radcliffe, who famously played Harry Potter in all of the Warner Bros. films in the franchise, was asked what he thought about the upcoming series, and he said:
“I’m excited for it as a viewer. I’ll be able to enjoy it with everyone else possibly, with a slightly different perspective. It’s a nice thing that a whole new generation is going to get introduced to the stories in a new way. They’ll see it as a TV series, so they’ll probably have time to go into all the things. So for the people that were angry about things that were cut from the film, hopefully, they will finally be able to see the full version they wanted.”
I am one of those fans! I loved the books so much, and it was hard to see things left out of the stories, especially starting with the fourth book and moving forward. There is just so much detail in the books that it was hard to translate it to a film. I am so looking forward to seeing those details explored and those scenes play out on the screen.
