DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN Season 3 Locks in Filming Start and Drops Early Casting Clues
Marvel Studios is already looking ahead with Daredevil’s gritty comeback, even as fans gear up for the next chapter.
Fresh details have surfaced about Daredevil: Born Again Season 3, revealing when cameras will roll and what kinds of characters are about to stalk the streets of Hell’s Kitchen. It’s an encouraging sign that Marvel Television is feeling confident about where this story is headed.
Even though Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 hasn’t hit Disney+ yet, the long game is clearly in motion. That upcoming season will finish out the original 18 episode order Marvel Studios handed out back in July 2022.
For a while, it wasn’t clear if Matt Murdock’s revival would continue beyond that. Then in September 2025, Brad Winderbaum made it official that Season 3 was happening.
According to Actors Access via X, Season 3 is scheduled to begin filming on March 6, 2026. That timing lines up neatly with the production rhythm of the previous seasons, which also kicked off principal photography in late winter.
Alongside the filming date, a new casting call offers a peek at the kind of chaos Season 3 might bring. Marvel Television is searching for background actors to play Criminal Gang Members of all ethnicities, White and Asian Dangerous Criminals, and Intimidating Officers.
These roles are expected to film between March and July, suggesting a street-level story packed with crime, pressure, and escalating tension.
Story details are still under wraps, especially with Season 2 not premiering until March 24. That hasn’t stopped the rumor mill. Reports say that The Hand could make a return, despite being wiped out during The Defenders crossover. If true, that would add another brutal layer to an already volatile New York.
Season 1 left Matt Murdock in a dark place. Charlie Cox’s Daredevil was driven into hiding after Mayor Wilson Fisk outlawed vigilantism. Fisk, played by Vincent D’Onofrio, didn’t just take power. He tightened his grip on the entire city.
Season 2 sees Matt slowly pushing back, building resistance against Fisk’s Anti-Vigilante Task Force. One major ally stepping into the fight is Jessica Jones, once again played by Krysten Ritter.
Marvel has already shared the official synopsis for Season 2: “In Season 2, Mayor Wilson Fisk crushes New York City underfoot as he hunts down public enemy number one, the Hell’s Kitchen vigilante known as Daredevil. But beneath the horned mask, Matt Murdock will try to fight back from the shadows to tear down the Kingpin’s corrupt empire and redeem his home. Resist. Rebel. Rebuild.”
Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 premieres on Disney+ on March 24, 2026, as part of Phase 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With Season 3 already lining up its production and casting, it looks like Daredevil’s war for Hell’s Kitchen is far from over.
