DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN Season 3 Teased as a “New Dawn” as Charlie Cox Hints at Major Shift
If you’ve been locked into the gritty chaos of Daredevil: Born Again, it sounds like the story is about to turn a corner in a big way.
While fans are still watching Season 2 unfold, Charlie Cox is already teasing what’s ahead, and according to him, Season 3 is something that feels fresh, like the show is stepping into a completely different phase.
Cox recently opened up about what he’s seen so far, and while he’s careful not to spoil anything, the tone shift is clear. He said:
"I haven't read the whole thing, but, no, it feels like we've shed the skin of the Mayor Fisk era. It feels like it's a new book, a new dawn a little bit."
That’s a pretty loaded statement considering how much of the current story has revolved around Wilson Fisk tightening his grip on New York.
The “Mayor Fisk era” has cast a long shadow over Matt Murdock’s world, and it sounds like that chapter is finally closing… or at least transforming into something new.
Cox went on to clarify that while the story is evolving, it’s not hitting a reset button:
"It's still a continuation, obviously, but it's slightly different. I can't give anything away, but it's a new thing, which is fun."
That idea of a continuation with a new identity is interesting. It suggests the consequences of what’s happening now will carry forward, but the vibe, stakes, and maybe even the characters themselves could shift in unexpected ways.
Of course, we’re not there yet. Season 2 still has plenty of story left to tell, and it’s building toward a major collision between Daredevil and Fisk. As Mayor, Kingpin has been aggressively targeting vigilantes, turning New York into a pressure cooker that’s ready to blow.
Speaking of Fisk, Vincent D'Onofrio has also teased that whatever happens by the end of Season 2 leaves a serious mark on the character. He said:
"I guess I kind of knew, inevitably, that it would end the way it does in the second season. But I didn't imagine how, particularly. It's very different to see what happens to him at the end of the second season.
“It's a very different feel. We pick up from what [those] events have done to him in the third season. You get to meet him and what he's become after that."
A changed Fisk could mean a very different kind of threat, or maybe something even more dangerous depending on how things shake out.
For now, though, all eyes are on Season 2 as it continues to roll out weekly on Disney+. With tensions rising and the city on edge, it feels like the series is building toward a turning point that will redefine everything going forward.
