Dave Bautista Says GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3 Is the Best Film in the Franchise
Dave Bautista seems to be really hitting his stride lately, as the actor has now turned in what some are calling the performance of his career in the recently released M. Night Shyamalan thriller Knock at the Cabin. He went from practically begging for roles to being asked by Hollywood elite to join projects across the board, and rightfully so. He’s a great actor. But it all seemed to kick off for him when he landed the role of Drax in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise at Marvel. That chapter of his career is now wrapping up, with the third and final film getting ready for a May 5th release, and Bautista says this is the best film in the franchise yet.
In a recent interview with Uproxx, the actor described the final film, saying:
It’s very emotional. It’s emotional, it’s dark, and it’s deep and it’s inspiring. I think this is going to be a special… Obviously, I haven’t seen it and I always feel like that every time. I thought Guardians was going to be the best, or Guardians 2 was going to be the best. And after reading the script and after being on this film and filming it, it’s just so much better.
He went on:
It’s just so much better, so much deeper. It’s so much more personal. And there’s such a massive inspiring message to this film. But I think it’s going to be the best Guardians. I think unlike a lot of franchises, we’re leaving with our best. We haven’t been watered down as we’ve gone along, but I think we’re leaving with our best film.
This sentiment has been shared by the actors castmates and the film’s director as well. I know James Gunn has had an idea all along of how he was going to wrap up this story. The saga has meant a lot to him, and to the fans. It was such a fun and different project for the MCU, and it has held up as a favorite to many. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is set to hit theatres on May 5th, and I can’t wait to see it.
