Daveed Diggs Joins Director Andrew Stanton's Sci-Fi Film IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE

Daveed Diggs (Hamilton, Blindspotting, Snowpiercer) has joined director Andrew Stanton’s upcoming live-action sci-fi film project In The Blink of an Eye. Diggs’ joins the previously cast Kate McKinnon and Rashida Jones.

Stanton is the director of Pixar films such as A Bugs Life, Wall-E, and Finding Dory. He also helmed live-action projects such as John Carter, Stranger Things, Better Call Saul, For all Mankind, and more.

This next film project of his is an epic that follows three storylines spanning thousands of years, “pondering hope, connection and the circle of life.” It’s been explained that the film “seeks to explore no less than the entire history of the world and tackle the nature of life.”

The movie is set up at Searchlight Pictures and it’s said to be inspired by films such as Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey, Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar, and Paul Thomas Anderson’s Magnolia.”

Colby Day wrote the script, which was featured on the 2017 Black List. Jared Ian Goldman (Ingrid Goes West) is producing.
