David Hasselhoff Says The KNIGHT RIDER Revival Will Be Like LOGAN and That It Will Be Dark

Not long ago we learned from David Hasselhoff that thanks to his time on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, we might actually see Knight Rider revival. He said that James Gunn is currently trying to get the rights to the property so that they can actually do it!

As a huge fan of Knight Rider, I would love to see Gunn and Hasselhoff work on a revival series or movie together! The original series featured The Hoff playing a crime fighter named Michael Knight who drove a badass car with an artificial intelligence named Kitt. 

While talking to Cinemablend about the revival, he said that he would like to bring Robert Rodriguez in to work on it and that it would have a dark tone and be like Logan.

"I have met Robert Rodriguez. He does Dusk til Dawn and Machete. And I said ‘You need to do Knight Rider.’ Because he was doing a marathon of Knight Riders and he said ‘Can we have a selfie!?’ And I said, ‘No, I don’t want a selfie! I want to do the movie! I want to shoot the TV series! I want to bring it back and make it dark! Michael Knight comes back and he’s pissed.’ ... I hope it happens, and if it does, it’ll be kind of like Logan. It will be dark. Hasselhoff as Michael Knight in 2017. Knight Rider. The saga continues."

I'd be up for seeing a pissed off Michael Knight driving around an updated version of Kitt fighting crime and kicking ass! It would be interesting to see if a Knight Rider revival actually ends up happening. I think there's a market for it.

I do like that Hasselhoff wants to bring Knight Rider back in a serious manner and not do a comedy spoof of it, which we are seeing a lot of these days. What do you all think about a Logan-style version of Knight Rider?
