DC Studios Cut and Blurred Out a Chunk of THE FLASH's Ending in Early Screenings To Keep a Big Surprise Secret
DC fans are in for a real treat with director Andy Muschietti‘s The Flash, and unless things haven’t been spoiled for you, there are some great surprises awaiting you! Now, I’ve seen the movie! I got to watch it at CinemaCon, but apparently, I didn’t see the whole movie! So, there are some more surprises for me as well, which I’m actually really excited about!
According to a recent report from Variety, DC Studios has been blurring out and removing a "secret ending" during screenings so no surprises get spoiled. They say that The Flash has gone through several different endings before screening it at CinemaCon so that the studio could keep its options open as they wait and see what happens with Ezra Miller.
So, The Flash screening at CinemaCon removed a big part of the ending so that this exciting surprise didn't get spoiled. It’s also being reported that this past week they have been screening the film with stuff that has been blurred out. There’s no word about what this will be, but it must be an extremely epic surprise! I can’t wait to see what that surprise is!
In the film, "Worlds collide in The Flash when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to. That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian... albeit not the one he's looking for. Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry's only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?"
The movie stars Ezra Miller as Barry Allen, a.k.a. The Flash, Michael Keaton, who is back as Batman, Ben Affleck as Batman, and Michael Shannon as Zod, with Ron Livingston and Maribel Verdú, who are playing Barry’s parents. Saoirse-Monica Jackson (Derry Girls) and internet personality Rudy Mancuso will also appear.
The Flash will be released on June 16th 2023.
