Denzel Washington Kicks Ass in New Trailer for THE EQUALIZER 3
Sony Pictures has released a new trailer for director Antoine Fuqua’s highly-anticipated action thriller, The Equalizer 3. Denzel Washington is back as Robert McCall, and as expected, he finds himself on the warpath kicking ass for a community that he’s come to love.
This movie is said to serve as the final film in the franchise, but the director has said that he’s considering a prequel film with a de-aged Denzel Washington, so we’ll see.
In this film, “Since giving up his life as a government assassin, Robert McCall (Denzel Washington) has struggled to reconcile the horrific things he’s done in the past and finds a strange solace in serving justice on behalf of the oppressed. Finding himself surprisingly at home in Southern Italy, he discovers his new friends are under the control of local crime bosses. As events turn deadly, McCall knows what he has to do: become his friends’ protector by taking on the mafia.”
The director previously talked about what we can expect from the movie, saying: “Hopefully, reveal a little more about Robert. Yeah, I think that's the key, to learn more about Robert McCall.”
The cast for the film also includes Dakota Fanning, Sonia Ben Ammar, Remo Girone, Andrea Dodero, Eugenio Mastrandrea, and Andrea Scarduzio.
The Equalizer 3 is set to hit theaters on September 1, 2023.
