Director David Gordon Green Is Rumored to Be Shooting Two HALLOWEEN Sequels Back-to-Back
It was recently reported that a sequel to Blumhouse’s Halloween movie was going to start shooting in the fall with David Gordon Green returning to the director’s chair. It was also reported that Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, and Andi Matichak would all return to reprise their roles.
There’s now an interesting rumor that has surfaced to go along with that news that might excite Halloween fans. According to Bloody-Disgusting, director David Gordon Green might actually be directing two Halloween sequels back-to-back!
That’s not all, though. Apparently the studio is looking to release both sequels in theaters in the same month! Yes, there’s a chance that we will be getting two Halloween sequels in October in 2020! It would be pretty cool if this actually turned out to be true. I’d be up for watching back-to-back sequels in the same month!
The source of the rumor admits that this sounds completely insane, but they do offer a reason to why they think it’s true, “outside of the fact that I know and trust my source. There were discussions about shooting the first film back-to-back with a sequel prior to production being shut down in order to recalibrate the ending. Shit, the filmmakers had even joked about shooting a full-blown Halloween trilogy at one point.”
So, while this is only a rumor for now, there’s a chance that it could end up being true. If it is true, what do you all think about two new Halloween sequels being released in the same month?
