Director Peyton Reed Says ANT-MAN 3 Will Be a "Much Bigger" and "More Sprawling" Film
We’ve still got a while before we see Ant-Man 3 get made, but Marvel Studios and director Peyton Reed are in the process of developing the story for the film. While we don’t know what that story will entail, we do know that it will involve both Scott Lang, a.k.a. Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), and Hope Van Dyne, a.k.a. The Wasp (Evangeline Lilly), and they will receive equal top billing.
During a recent interview with SiriusXM, Reed teased what we can expect from the film in terms of its size. He’s really excited about what’s coming and explained that this next sequel is going to be much bigger than the first two films:
“We are working our way through the pandemic…there are some really exciting things in store, none of which I can speak to about right now. As is the Marvel way!
“I think the third Ant-Man movie is going to be…a much bigger, more sprawling movie than the first two. It’s going to have a very, very different visual template. And that’s all I will say.”
I also like his comment on the movie having a very different visual template. I’m curious to know what that means. Will the story jump back into the Quantum Realm? We know that that it will involve Scott’s now-teenage daughter, Cassie Lang, who is played by Emma Fuhrmann. I also assume that Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfeiffer will reprise their roles of Hank and Janet.
