Disney Confirms TOY STORY 4 Release Date
Disney has confirmed that Toy Story 4 will be released in theaters on June 21, 2019! I was actually kind of surprised that Pixar was going to make a fourth Toy Story film because Toy Story 3 wrapped that story up so nicely. I would have been fine never seeing a new Toy Story movie again, but... Pixar and Disney obviously still want to continue to cash in on the franchise.
The development of the film hasn't been the smoothest as writer Rashida Jones ended up leaving the project due to having "a lack of a creative voice". Then there's John Lasseter who stepped down from his position at Pixar due to sexual harassment claims and we have no idea when or if he'll ever be back.
But, the show must go on! Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, and the rest of the voice cast will be back to reprise their roles and they will be joined by Patricia Arquette.
The story has been described as a romantic comedy that focuses on Woody and his relationship with Bo Peep. Woody and Buzz will have to team up for a new adventure to save Bo and bring her back.
Are you excited about this fourth Toy Story film or do you think they should have just left the franchise alone?
