First Look at Disney's Live-Action SNOW WHITE Which Has Been Delayed Until 2025

Walt Disney Studios has changed up the release dates for a couple of its upcoming high-profile movies including the live-action Snow White, which now has an official image, and Jonathan Major’s Magazine Dreams.

Snow White was originally supposed to be released on March 22, 2024, but has been pushed out a full year to March 21, 2025. The movie stars Rachel Zegler as the title character and a lot of people aren’t happy with the comments that she’s made about the movie over the past several months. A lot of Disney fans also don’t seem to care for the way the story has been changed, and now we’ve learned that the dwarves are going to be CGI. I’m curious to see what fans will say about that. Gal Gadot is playing the Evil Queen in the movie and it’s being directed by Mark Webb (500 Days of Summer, The Amazing Spider-Man).

The story follows a princess who is rescued by seven dwarf miners, Bashful, Doc, Dopey, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy, and Sneezy, who make Snow White part of their household after she’s exiled into a dangerous forest by her wicked stepmother.

As for Magazine Dreams, that movie has been completely removed from the release calendar. Majors stars in the dark drama, and with the actor in the middle of some heavy legal issues over his assault and aggravated harassment allegations, it makes sense that the studio isn’t going to want to release that movie right now. It was originally supposed to be released by Fox Searchlight on December 8, 2023.

The synopsis for the film reads: “Killian Maddox lives with his ailing veteran grandfather, obsessively working out between court-mandated therapy appointments and part-time shifts at a grocery store where he harbors a crush on a friendly cashier. Though Killian’s struggles to read social cues and maintain control of his volatile temper amplify his sense of disconnection amid a hostile world, nothing deters him from his fiercely protected dream of bodybuilding superstardom, not even the doctors who warn that he’s causing permanent damage to his body with his quest.”

It’s also reported that the Pixar science-fiction animated adventure film Elio was also pushed back a year from March 1, 2024 to June 13, 2025. That movie stars America Ferrera, Jameela Jamil and Brad Garrett, it revolves around a boy chosen to become Earth’s ambassador to an alien civilization.

The synopsis for that film reads: “For centuries, people have called out to the universe looking for answers—in Disney and Pixar’s all-new movie Elio, the universe calls back! The original feature film introduces Elio, an underdog with an active imagination who finds himself inadvertently beamed up to the Communiverse, an interplanetary organization with representatives from galaxies far and wide. Mistakenly identified as Earth’s ambassador to the rest of the universe, and completely unprepared for that kind of pressure, Elio must form new bonds with eccentric alien lifeforms, survive a series of formidable trials and somehow discover who he is truly meant to be.”
