DOCTOR STRANGE Co-Writer Jon Spaiths Will Script JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK

Yesterday we learned that Warner Bros. was looking to take another crack at the script for Justice League Dark after meeting with lots of directors who they were underwhelmed with.

We've now learned from The Hash Tag Show that screenwriter Jon Spaiths has been hired by the studio to work on the script. Spaith is no stranger to comic book movies as he worked with Scott Derrickson on the script for Doctor Strange, which turned out awesome!

It seems like a working on a film like Justice League Dark would be the next logical step as both properties deal with supernatural forces. Hell, maybe they should just bring in Derrickson to direct it! I'm sure he'll be busy working on the Doctor Strange sequel, though.

Warner Bros. was most recently looking at bringing on It director Andy Muschiett and Argentinian filmmaker Damián Szifron, who is attached to direct Universal Pictures' Six Billion Dollar Man. Obviously, the studio didn't like their take on bringing Jon Constantine, Deadman, Swamp Thing, and Zantana to the big screen.

I still just wish Guillermo del Toro would have been able to make the film he was planning. That's what the fans were excited about! Why not just get the fans excited again by getting Del Toro back on board!
