DUTTON RANCH Renewed for Season 2 at Paramount+

Fans of Beth and Rip can start looking ahead to another chapter of their story. Paramount+ has officially renewed Dutton Ranch for Season 2, continuing the next phase of the Yellowstone universe after the series delivered a massive debut for the streaming platform.

The series, which stars Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser reprising their fan-favorite roles as Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler, has quickly become a major success.

According to Paramount+, Dutton Ranch marked the biggest original series launch in the platform’s history and even claimed the top spot on the Nielsen streaming charts during its first week.

Serving as both a spinoff and sequel to Yellowstone, the series follows Beth and Rip as they leave Montana behind and attempt to build a new life in South Texas. Of course, peace and quiet were never really in the cards for these characters.

The official logline teases: “They collide with brutal new realities and a ruthless rival ranch that will stop at nothing to protect its empire. In South Texas, blood runs deeper, forgiveness is fleeting, and the cost of survival might just be your soul.”

Created by Chad Feehan and executive produced by Taylor Sheridan, Dutton Ranch premiered on Paramount+ on May 15 and has rolled out new episodes every Friday. The first season consists of nine episodes, with the finale set to air on July 3.

Along with Reilly and Hauser, the series also stars Finn Little, Juan Pablo Raba, Jai Courtney, J.R. Villarreal, Marc Menchaca, Natalie Alyn Lind, Ed Harris, and Annette Bening.

Jane Wiseman, Head of Originals at Paramount+, celebrated the renewal, saying: “Beth and Rip are among the most iconic duos in television history and we are thrilled to bring a whole new world to life with Dutton Ranch for our subscribers around the world.

“We’re also incredibly grateful to our partners, including the teams at Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios, for bringing this new series to life with such grit, heart and authenticity.”

Matt Thunell, President of Paramount Television Studios, also reflected on the show's success and what lies ahead: “’Dutton Ranch’ has resonated with audiences in a powerful way, building on the legacy of beloved characters, while establishing its own identity.

“Thank you to our partners at Paramount+ and 101 Studios for a phenomenal first season. We look forward to bringing fans more stories from these unforgettable characters in Season 2.”

The renewal isn’t exactly surprising given how strongly the series has connected with audiences. Beth and Rip were always two of the most popular characters in the Yellowstone franchise, and Dutton Ranch has managed to carry that momentum forward while introducing a new setting, new enemies, and new challenges.

It turns out to be a great spinoff series, and with Season 2 now officially on the way, fans can expect the battle for survival in South Texas to continue, and if the first season has proven anything, it’s that Beth and Rip aren’t about to back down from a fight.
