Trailer For DUTTON RANCH Sees Beth and Rip Face Murder and Mayhem in Texas
Paramount is heading back into the rugged world of the Dutton universe, and things are already getting messy. The newly released trailer for Dutton Ranch teases a fresh chapter for fan-favorite couple Beth and Rip, and it’s clear their attempt at a quieter life isn’t going to last long.
Picking up after the events of Yellowstone, the series follows Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser as Beth and Rip try to carve out a future together far from Montana.
But instead of peace and wide-open skies, they find themselves knee-deep in trouble deep in South Texas. In the trailer they are thrown right into chaos, with Rip stumbling across a dead body that complicates their new beginning.
That discovery puts them on a collision course with a powerful new adversary. Annette Bening steps into the role of Beulah Jackson, a neighboring rancher who isn’t about to let outsiders disrupt what her family has built. From the look of things, she’s more than ready to go to extremes to protect her land and legacy.
The tone of the series leans darker and more intense, with the official logline reading: “As Beth and Rip fight to build a future together – far from the ghosts of Yellowstone – they collide with brutal new realities and a ruthless rival ranch that will stop at nothing to protect its empire. In South Texas, blood runs deeper, forgiveness is fleeting, and the cost of survival might just be your soul.”
Even though Yellowstone ended with Beth and Rip setting up shop in Dillon, Montana, this spinoff shifts the action to Texas, giving the story a different flavor while keeping that gritty edge intact.
The cast also brings back Finn Little, alongside Juan Pablo Raba, Jai Courtney, J.R. Villarreal, Marc Menchaca, Natalie Alyn Lind, and Ed Harris.
The show is built from characters created by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson, with Chad Feehan taking on duties as creator, executive producer, and showrunner for the first season.
Sheridan and Linson remain heavily involved behind the scenes, along with a long list of executive producers including Hauser and Reilly themselves.
Direction for the season is handled by Christina Alexandra Voros, Greg Yaitanes, Jessica Lowrey, and Phil Abraham, with Voros helming key episodes including the premiere and finale.
Dutton Ranch is set to premiere May 15, debuting its first two episodes on Paramount+. After that, new episodes will roll out weekly across its nine-episode first season.
