Edgar Wright Says BABY DRIVER 2 Could Happen Soon!

Edgar Wright's Baby Driver was a hell of a fun film and I'd love to see a sequel for it! The director has already said the sequel will happen, but in a recent tweet, he hinted at the fact that it could happen soon, which is news that is sure to get fans revving with excitement!

In a previous interview with the filmmaker, he talked about the how the trying to get the sequel off the ground, saying:

"Those talks are already in the works. The deal is being hammered out as we speak. So, hopefully, I'm going to at least write a second one. I've definitely got lots of ideas. Whether it's the next movie, I don't know. I'm just working that out at the moment, actually. I have a couple of things that I've been developing, and also a couple of new ideas that I had, and all the nice things things that I've been offered since [the release of Baby Driver. I would like to get back on the saddle very shortly, because --- slightly beyond my control --- but there was four years between The World's End and Baby Driver. I don't want it to be that long again. I would love to have a film out in the next two years."

It's been a year since the first Baby Driver movie came out so if he has it his way, we'll get a Baby Driver sequel sometime next year.

I have no idea what the story for the sequel would entail, but I imagine it would focus on the continuing road adventures of Baby (Ansel Elgort) and Debora (Lilly James). It's not too hard to think that after Baby is released from prison, maybe someone from his past life of crime will catch up with him in some way and he'll once again find himself in a tight situation that he'll need to drive his way out of.

Regardless of what story Baby Driver 2 will tell, I'm pumped up for whatever Wright does end up bringing to it! What would you like to see in a Baby Driver sequel?
